HARLAN

Warm stripes, carved bone, and a little old-world western romance.

Harlan began as a tailored blazer in a rich chocolate brown, patterned with slender stripes of warm caramel and muted rust. The linear pattern follows the original tailoring beautifully, shifting direction across the lapels and giving the piece a subtle architectural quality.

Reimagined by hand, the blazer has been opened through the sides and framed in layers of soft blush fringe and ornate coordinating trim. The warm, tonal palette softens the menswear-inspired stripe while still allowing the original garment to remain very much a part of the design.

At the two front points, Harlan is finished with hand-sewn carved bone buttons, their geometric markings adding an organic, almost talisman-like detail against the delicate fringe.

The back falls into a deep V, where the stripe becomes especially striking as the lines travel vertically down the center. A single elongated bone button is hand sewn at the point, creating a quiet focal detail without interrupting the clean geometry of the back.

There are no beads or additional ornamentation here. Harlan is intentionally restrained, relying on texture, movement, natural materials and the contrast between traditional tailoring and romantic fringe.

Made from an existing garment and thoughtfully transformed by hand, Harlan carries traces of what she was before while becoming something entirely her own.
