HOLLIS

Old tailoring, softened at the edges.

Hollis began as a wool blazer in a classic heritage plaid, woven in warm shades of taupe, brown and charcoal with subtle rust running through the pattern. Its traditional tailoring and structured lapels are left intact, giving the piece a grounded, menswear-inspired foundation.

Reimagined by hand, the blazer has been opened through the sides and traced in warm caramel trim before falling into a sweep of soft blush-taupe fringe. At the front points, a pair of carved bone buttons have been hand sewn into place, their organic markings and warm ivory tones adding an earthy counterpoint to the precise plaid.

The back follows the lines of the original tailoring into a deep V. An elongated bone button sits horizontally at its point, also hand sewn, with strands of vintage tapestry textile falling beneath it. The irregular, timeworn edges of the fabric were intentionally left visible, bringing a small piece of the past into an otherwise polished silhouette.

Hollis is a meeting of old-world tailoring and western ornamentation: structured wool, sweeping fringe, carved bone and fragments of vintage textile brought together into something entirely new.

Made from an existing garment and thoughtfully transformed by hand, Hollis carries traces of what she was before while becoming something entirely her own.
