The Vespera

After Midnight Blooms

The Vespera began as a classic black blazer with beaded trim on the lapel and was reimagined by hand into a one of one wearable piece. Dramatic 18" black fringe falls from the shoulders in an exaggerated sweep, transforming the familiar structure of the blazer into something made for movement.

Along the front, individual floral appliqués were carefully placed and sewn by hand, trailing across antique gold trim that frames the silhouette. Black beaded detailing follows the lapels, while ornate hand painted vintage Czech glass decorative buttons and trailing black lace finish the front.

At the back, a sweeping tapestry tulip appliqué blooms between the shoulders, machine sewn into place and framed by antique gold trim and cream tassels. An oversized vintage inspired button anchors the point below, allowing the long black fringe to fall beneath it like a curtain.

Made from an existing garment and thoughtfully transformed through both hand and machine sewing, Vespera is the darkest and most dramatic bloom of the collection.

One of one. There will never be another Vespera exactly like her.
